This is not what AI can do for us, but what we can do for artificial intelligence

Most people view artificial intelligence (AI) through a one-way lens. This technology exists solely to serve humans and to reach new levels of efficiency, accuracy and productivity. But what if we lack half of the equation? If we do this, what should we do if we only amplify the flaws of the technology?
AI is still in its infancy and still faces significant restrictions in reasoning, data quality and understanding concepts such as trust, value and incentives. The gap between current function and real “intellectual” is very large. Good news? We can change this by being active collaborators rather than passive consumers of AI.
Humans grasp the key to intelligent evolution by providing better reasoning frameworks, feeding quality data and bridging the trust gap. As a result, people and machines can work side by side with win-win-to-collaborate to generate better data and better results.
Let’s consider the appearance of a more symbiotic relationship, and as partners, meaningful collaboration can benefit both parties to the AI equation.
The required relationship between humans and machines
AI is undoubtedly excellent in analyzing large numbers of data sets and automating complex tasks. However, this technology is still fundamentally limited, just like us. First, these models and platforms struggle with reasoning beyond training data. Pattern recognition and statistical prediction are no problem, but the context judgment and logical framework we take for granted are more challenging. This reasoning gap means that AI often fails when faced with subtle situations or moral judgments.
Secondly, there is the data quality of “garbage, garbage”. The current model has been trained extensively info with or without consent. Unverified or biased information is used regardless of the appropriate attribution or authorization, resulting in unverified or biased AI. Therefore, the model’s “data diet” is doubtful at best, and at worst, scattered. It is helpful to consider this effect in nutritional terms. If humans only eat junk food, we will be slow and slow. If the agent uses only copyright and second-hand materials, its performance can also be hampered by inaccurate, unreliable and general rather than specific outputs. It remains far from reaching the autonomous and proactive decision-making promised in the upcoming agents.
Crucially, AI remains blind to whom and who to interact with. It cannot distinguish between unified and misaligned users, strives to validate relationships, and understands concepts such as trust, exchange of value and stakeholder incentives – the core elements that control human interaction.
Manual solution problem
We need to see AI platforms, tools, and agents less as servants and more as assistants we can help with training. First, let’s look at reasoning. We can introduce new logical frameworks, ethical norms and strategic ideas that AI systems cannot develop separately. Through thoughtful tips and careful supervision, we can complement the statistical advantages of AI through human intelligence – teach them to identify patterns and understand the environments that make them meaningful.
Similarly, humans can curate a proven, diverse and morally sourced higher-quality dataset, rather than allowing AI to train any information it can scrape off the internet.
This means developing better attribution systems where content creators are recognized and compensated for their contribution to training.
Emerging frameworks make this possible. By uniting online identities under a banner and determining whether they share content comfortably, users can provide models with zero party information that respects privacy, consent and regulations. Even better, by tracking this information about the blockchain, users and model manufacturers can see where the information comes from and adequately compensate creators for providing this “new oil”. This is how we recognize user data and bring them into the information revolution.
Finally, bridging the trust gap means an armed model with human values and attitudes. This means designing mechanisms that identify stakeholders, verify relationships, and distinguish between aligned and misaligned users. As a result, we help AI understand its operating environment – who benefits from its behavior, factors that contribute to its development, and how value flows into the systems it participates in.
For example, proxy powered by blockchain infrastructure is excellent in this regard. They can recognize and prioritize users who have bought using the displayed ecosystem through reputation, social influence or token ownership. This allows AI to adjust incentives by giving stakeholders greater weight to their skin in the game, creating a governance system where proven proponents participate in decision-making based on their level of participation. As a result, AI has a deeper understanding of its ecosystem and can make decisions provided by real stakeholder relationships.
Don’t ignore the human elements in artificial intelligence
A lot has been said about the rise of this technology and how it threatens to overhaul the industry and eliminate jobs. But baking guardrails ensures that AI increases rather than covers the human experience. For example, the most successful AI implementations do not replace humans, but expand on the work we can do together. Both sides contribute their unique strengths when AI processes routine analysis and humans provide creative direction and moral supervision.
If done correctly, AI promises to improve the quality and efficiency of countless human processes. However, if done wrong, it is limited by a suspicious data source, only mimicking intelligence rather than displaying actual intelligence. The human aspect of equations depends on us, making these models smarter and ensuring that our values, judgment and morality remain within them.
Trust is the technology that becomes the mainstream non-commodity. When users can verify where the data goes, see how it is used and participate in the value it creates, they become willing partners rather than reluctant topics. Likewise, AI systems become more trustworthy when they can leverage consistent stakeholders and transparent data pipelines. In turn, they are more likely to access our most important private and professional spaces, creating a flywheel with better data access and improved results.
So moving into the next phase of AI, let’s focus on connecting people and machines with verifiable relationships, quality data sources, and precise systems. We should not ask what AI can do for us, but what we can do for AI.
