Meta said in a recent announcement that there are now 400 million active users on the thread. To celebrate, they are testing some new advertising features.
New Test
1. Meta is testing 4 by 5 images and videos, beyond the square. Advertisers can already take advantage of 4 by 5 in many feed placements, which is good for visibility.
2. The meta is testing the carousel. Otherwise these will not be qualified in the thread feed placement. This allows advertisers to link multiple product lines through images or videos in a scrollable format.
3. Finally, Meta will start testing Advantage+ catalog ads and app ads as soon as possible.
Increase inventory
These enhancements are welcome when more impressions are gained in ad thread feeds. Inventory has been open recently when testing started slowly. Other options like this should help make the placement more efficient.
