Netflix boldly addressed Streaming’s biggest frustration, endless scrolling, just launched a major redesign of its TV and mobile apps that feature Chatgpt-powered AI Chatbot and Tiktok-style video reels.
You can quickly ask Netflix for Netflix in simple language, you want to know “funny, fast-paced” or “dark thriller with strong female leads” and get tailor-made advice right away.
Netflix is working with Openai to power the feature, part of a wider overhaul that aims to make content discovery faster, more intuitive, and (ultimately) less painful.

Netflix says it has used AI for years to personalize art and suggestions. Now it’s deeper.
“The generated AI allows us to take a step further,” said CTO Elizabeth Stone. “This is very useful for our members and the creators we work with.”
Chief Product Officer Eunice Kim added that this is the “big leap” in Netflix’s homepage design in decades.

First, an update has been released on Beta, with a wider launch to be released in the coming months. Users must choose to test AI-driven searches.
Netflix quietly descended its last two interactive titles, Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, and “Tubborn Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. Reverend” as it refocused on AI-powered discovery. Meanwhile, competitors like Amazon have tested generated AI in Prime Video and Alexa.
This can ultimately solve one of Streaming’s most annoying problems and marks a new wave of AI-infused entertainment experiences.
