Katy Perry didn’t attend the Metropolitan Gala, but AI made her the star of the night

Another year later, Katy Perry broke out in another viral deep outbreak in Met Gala, and she wasn’t even there.
A stylish black designer dress was widely circulated on social media during the Monday night event, with photos of pop stars spreading, with “Super Elf: Cut Black Style” theme. But images are generated by AI. Perry quickly clarified that she was not in the Metropolis. She is on tour.
Perry’s reaction
“I can’t get into the metropolis, I’ve been touring throughout my life (see you tomorrow in Houston),” she posted to Instagram along with fake images.
She added a jab to the AI chaos: “PS I’m actually with my mom this year, so she’s protected from the range of robots…but I’m praying for everyone.”
Repeated scams
This marks Second consecutive year Perry is popular for the appearance of the Met Gala generated by AI. In 2024, she deceived thousands of people in her floral dress, including her own mother.
These deep strikes are becoming increasingly difficult to detect. A fake post claimed Perry was popular with 400,000 views in a never-before-seen Mugler fabric, even wrongly attributed to Getty Images.
The spread of trustworthy AI-generated content is becoming increasingly concerned, especially because it not only deceives fans, but also family members.
AI is now dressing up for events where they don’t participate, and millions are still falling for it.
Perry continues her “A Journey of a Lifetime” Her next stop in Houston. Meanwhile, the Internet has been working hard to deal with reality and algorithms.
