How it works
When you upload an image while creating an ad, you may see the option to “crop and extend”.
With AI, this allows you to “automatically crop and scale selected media to fit more places”. This option is available for square and vertically place groups.
What does it look like?
This may seem a bit mysterious.
If this falls under visual Advantage+ Creative Enshancement, that would make sense.
This includes things like image cropping and expansion. But this seems to have nothing to do with checking whether the crops and expansion options are totally irrelevant.
Should you use it?
Since it’s a little unknown, this could fall into the batch of enhancement buckets you don’t know. For many advertisers, this is terrible.
In theory, this enhancement sounds good and I might activate it for my own ad. Maybe be cautious, depending on the account until we get more transparency.
