Is this an update to the conversion clue or is it just a test?

What I’ve seen
When using a lead target that forms the conversion position instantly, select Maximize the amount of converted lead as your performance target. Did you see what I saw?
Typically, conversion lead optimization requires you to define the funnel by connecting the CRM. Meta follows your funnel clues to learn when to perform a lead action.
However, you may see a variant with a data source drop-down menu. You will have four options:

1. CRM: “Optimize your CRM’s activities (such as qualified prospects or closed deals). This usually leads to better performance, but requires more setup time.”
Most likely, using this option is no different from the current version of the conversion lead optimization, which requires you to carefully follow the steps to define the funnel.
2. call: “Optimize call volume and target potential customers who are more likely to connect via phone after submitting the form. You need to choose a call service for your ad.”
This is a little confusing because I’m not sure what the last sentence means. But showing people that “maybe connected over the phone” should be optimized.
3. information: “Optimize the volume of messages to target potential customers who are more likely to use messages to connect after submitting the form. Need to chat with leads enabled on AD.”
Again, this is confusing because the conversion location is an instant form and if you choose Messenger or Instant Forms and Messenger, the conversion lead optimization will not be used. However, you should reach out to more people who “may use messaging” so that you can contact this way.
4. none: “If you don’t have or want to use a connected data source, we will try our best to optimize high-quality leads. You can always connect to improve optimization.”
In this case, Meta will try to give you higher quality clues, but there may be no data to do well. It is not clear whether the last option is different from optimizing the conversion line with abnormally defining the funnel.

Phones and messages can be especially useful if you are contacting clues via phone or Messenger. They are worth trying, especially if you have a lead quality issue, otherwise you won’t get a conversion boot.
