Combining likes and reactions to similar ads

Some advertisers are seeing a new option to combine ad-like likes and reactions. Do you have it?
Let’s take a closer look at where it is and how it works…
Social information
In your ad settings, you may see a new social information section.
It reads:
How control elements display social information such as likes, such as likes, and other engagements on your ads.
If anything, click it.
There is an explanation:
If the text and images in these ads are the same or similar, we will combine similarities and reactions in multiple ads.
By default, the box is checked to “allow the meta to combine likes and reactions similar to ads”. When checked, it will be applied throughout the account.
How does it work?
This sounds like a useful enhancement. Social proves to be powerful, but it can be downplayed in many variations. This setting consolidates these operations when the text and image are the same or similar.
But the details are not clear, and this is nothing new. I have some questions:
- Does this work for placement changes or just separate ads?
- How do images need to be similar?
- Different aspect ratios?
- Background color?
- How do texts need to be similar?
- Do both text and creativity need to be similar or just one or the other?
This may be great, but it’s nice to see where it is applied. Do you have this setting?
