Bito raises $5.7 million to boost proxy AI code reviews and accelerate enterprise development

In a round of funding, which marked a significant leap in AI-assisted software development, Bito raised $5.7 million in seed expansion to further advance its proxy AI platform for code review. Supported by NextView Ventures, Maxitech Ventures, Eniac Ventures, etc., led by Vela partners, increased Bito’s total seed-stage funding to $8.8 million.
At a time when large language models (LLMS) revolutionize code generation, Bito is solving the same critical (but much less) development lifecycle, but large-scale review of code reviews.
“Everyone talks about writing code using AI. But the production system lives and dies through the way that it reviews, tests and maintains that code.” explain Amar Goelco-founder and CEO of Bito. “With this funding, we will expand our product capabilities and help teams browse the flood of AI-generated and artificially written code, which is just the beginning.”
Agent AI: The Next Frontier of Development Automation
What sets Bito apart is its deep commitment to proxy AI, a new AI system that goes beyond passive tools to run as an autonomous agent capable of reasoning and decision making. These agents not only propose syntax improvements; they interpret architecture, detect hidden regressions and apply fixes in real time – all in the developer’s natural workflow.
Unlike traditional tools, BITO’s AI code review agent actively plans, criticizes and adjusts its comments to align with organizational best practices, technology stacks, and coding styles. Its awareness spans the request context of local pulls, making it a larger building model, making it an effective partner for navigating modern fragmented code bases.
This is part of a growing movement called Vibe Coding, an emerging philosophy where developers work with smart agents to create software that not only understands grammar, but also understands context, intention, and team-specific nuances. As Vibe encoding gains appeal in both startups and businesses, tools like Bito become essential to expand this symbiotic interaction between human creativity and machine accuracy.
“Agent systems like BITO transform software creation from static, rule-based processes to dynamic collaborative processes where one developer is not just code, they resonate with the system,” said Dr. An industry analyst said. “That’s how Vibe encoding is implemented: fluid, fast, profound context development.”
Measurable impact on modern engineering teams
Bito’s platform currently reviews over 10,000 pull requests per week to organizations such as Gainsight, WhatFix and PubMatic, and provides significant improvements in speed and quality:
- 89% faster pull request merge
- 34% code regression reduction
- 87% of feedback generated by AI
- Rewards of $1 for every $1 spent
These are more than numbers – they represent developers’ time, increase code reliability, and reduce engineering overhead. BITO can also help junior developers join the boat faster and provide best practice guidance and one-click fixes with rich environments that effectively translate each code review into a mentoring session.
“Bito not only speeds up code review, it can also upgrade your team.” explain Mukesh AgarwalChief Product Officer of Bito. “Whether it’s a junior developer or an employee engineer, everyone benefits from smarter, more consistent feedback.”
Used for scale, guaranteed for enterprises
Safety is the foundation of Bito design. The platform is certified for SOC 2 Class II, does not store your code, and will never use your code to train your model. For industries with stricter compliance needs, Bito supports on-premises deployments through Docker in addition to cloud hosting options.
Bito’s integration spans Github, Gitlab, Bitbucket and Azure Devops, and it supports over 50 languages from JavaScript and Python to Go and C#. Key platform features include:
- Static code analysis With mypy, fbinfer, etc.
- Security Scan Use snyk, whisper and detect secrets
- Custom audit rulesTransformers and Detailed PR Summary
- Smart Analytics Dashboard Used to track request quality, speed and contributor insights of pull
The company’s leadership team brings together some of the most successful ideas from SaaS, Adtech and Enterprise Infrastructure:
-
Amar Goel, a Harvard graduate and founder of Pubmatic, the company is open on Nasdaq
-
Anand Das, Bito’s CTO and former CTO holds 7 patents on Pubmatic and Eyeota (acquisitioned for $165 million)
-
Mukesh AgarwalProduct leads with Microsoft, EY and Revx backgrounds (acquired by Affle)
Together they build more than just a tool – they are designing a new AI-native layer in a modern software stack where code creation and commenting are intelligent, automated and collaborative.
Why is it important now
The shift to AI-generated and AI-reviewed code is inevitable, but it brings risks: context erosion, increased regression and speed without responsibility. As companies work to balance productivity with code integrity and technical debt, the rise of tools such as BITO and the wider approach to adoption of coding is a crucial approach.
Bito enables the team to thrive in this new reality by acting as a trusted engineering partner, not just a fluff robot. It learns. reason. It can help teams move faster without sacrificing the trust of their code.
“We believe developers are the master masons behind the future.” explain Bito founding team. “The possibilities are endless with AI as a co-athletes.”
Bito will not only view your code. It ushers in a new era of developer productivity – a one-time extraction requirement.
