Artificial Intelligence Mania has AI characters and turns pets into humans

In the 90s we collected Pokémon cards, and in the 2000s we all had a weird stage with those rubber charity bracelets, and now in 2025 we turned pets into strange humans with AI.

progress? possible.

As the “Ghibli style” phenomenon melts Openai’s servers and lets CEO Sam Altman actually beg people to stop producing images, we’re running into a new wave of AI Crazes on social media.

Now, your social media feed may be attracted by the action character version of your friends and the humanized version of your cat. Welcome to 2025.

Make your own AI action characters

The latest trends across X, Tiktok and Instagram involve people turning themselves into action figures with packaging.

Users are generating their own images as collection toys that are sealed in plastic blisters and have colorful cardboard backs.

“Create a person’s toy based on photos. Make it a collectible action figure. The image should be placed in the padded card, in front of the padded card,” the popular tips are widely shared.

Some even create well-designed backstory for their action figure Alter-egos, complete with fictional accessories and “special abilities” listed on the packaging.

Some have gone a step further, using AI tools to get digital animations removed from the packaging.

Pets become human

It could be the weirdo of two trends, people turn pets into human forms.

A circular prompt reads: “Transform this animal into a human character, eliminating all animal characteristics (such as fur, ears, whiskers, muzzle, tail, etc.) while retaining its personality and recognizable traits. Focus on capturing expression, posture, emotional atmosphere and visual identity.”

The result…just say they are charming and disturbing.

“Let them be cats…that’s why we love them…they’re not people lol,” one Instagram user commented, while another just wrote: “Hell no.”

according to Creative Bloq’s Natalie Fearshe tried the trend with her cat, “the result ranged from cute to total chaos.”

Fear describes her own AI-generated pets-humans as “weird people” and points out that many cats’ transformations seem to lead to “growing old people.” To be fair, this may be the way most cats suddenly become humans.

Despite the disturbing results, the trend attracted social media users, with one of Redditors commenting, “Oh my god, this is amazing!” Another sighed, “Oh God, people turn pets into human posts next week. Save me.”

What’s next?

As AI tools move, text objects do enter public awareness and become more efficient and easier to use.

The ability to upload photos to Chatgpt and ask it to manipulate them in situ is also a key driver. Everything you need to build your own action characters is in your palm.

So if you want to give it a try – go ahead. Just don’t blame us when your cat’s human form gives you a nightmare.
