Advertising impressions in threads
Hey, some impressions on the thread!
Back in April, Meta announced its long-standing official promotional ad in the Threads Feed. As expected, ads are introduced in threaded applications are slow. But we finally saw some signs.

I’ve recently failed through location and finally… the three full impressions of ads in thread feeds.
Interestingly and probably importantly, it is a publicity campaign with a small audience. I have no impression of the clues from other campaigns and spend more. Early impressions may be reserved for consciousness.
This is not much, but any impression is still a development.
As a user
We know that from a user experience point of view, Meta is very cautious about this and we know that this kind of launch will be slow.
I’ve noticed that some of the ads in the mobile app are users, but even very limited.
I will only see a scrolling ad. Refresh sees another ad during another scrolling. But this is not an ad, for example on Facebook and Instagram.
Howevercertainly. That will change. So far, I haven’t seen ads on the desktop version.
What to expect
Yes, this is happening. The ad has reached the thread. But don’t expect that it will have too much impact for a while. When the metadata is slowly scrolling, you may not see many ads as users.
While the official launch began earlier than I expected, I still think we won’t see much impact until 2026. The meta statement is consistent with this prediction.
This means you are unlikely to consider it as an advertiser. But eventually, that will change.
