Adam graduated from Columbia Climate School – Earth State

Columbia Climate School is pleased to announce that musician, educator and climate advocate Adam Met will give a keynote address at the Climate School’s class ceremony on Friday, May 16, 2025.

In announcing the news to the community, Dean Alexis Abramson, dean of Columbia Climate School, said: “As climate advocates, educators and members of the Doplato band AJR, Adam Met brings a powerful message of urgency about climate action around the world, and we can be proud of our class speeches that we will not only provide our Colombian experiences but also make our Colombian community the spirit of Colombia. It makes sense for success from their own perspective.”

As “A” in the multistratosphere band AJR, MET performs for millions of fans around the world while using his coverage and expertise to drive climate action. He is also the executive director of planets as a professor at Columbia University and has worked with Congress and the White House to develop innovative energy policies. MET recently won the prestigious Earth Award from Time magazine and was named Changemaker by The New York Times.
