Translation text function – Jon Loomer Digital

Some advertisers are seeing the “early version” feature that can generate their text using AI.

Here’s what you need to know…

How it works

When viewing advanced previews in ADS Manager, I see a new feature called Translate Text in Advantage+Creative Enhancements. Meta uses AI to translate texts for humans speaking other languages.

There is a button that can be “customized”, but it seems that you can actually customize the text. Your main text and titles are eligible to convert to multiple languages.

Translate text

It seems that not everyone will get the same translation language. On the top, it says:

Our data suggest that some of your audience may be aware of other languages. The following translations including text may help customize your ideas and make your ads more relevant.

In other words, it seems that the translation provided is based on my specific data. I have translations in nine languages in total, including Spanish, Portuguese, German and French.

I found this to work with single image and video ads. I can’t find it when using a carousel or flexible ad format.

Should you use this?

Despite some risks, this is certainly an interesting option. Text is automatically translated and currently cannot customize languages or translate text. Of course, this is otherwise you wouldn’t create a translation, but instead know the risks involved.

Advertisers can choose from years of manual translation, but this certainly doesn’t use too many features due to the manual work required. This can be very useful and makes ads easier to access in a variety of languages, especially when the Translate VoiceOver feature I covered yesterday was used in conjunction with.

This enhancement is part of an early release program, which allows some advertisers to access test features early. I’ll cover more information about the program in the next video.
