Will Meta expand creative testing to 10 ads?

Is Meta expanding its creative testing tools?

A few months ago, Meta began rolling out a new creative testing feature. It allows you to test up to five ads within an existing ad set.

Well, it looks like Meta may have upgraded the tool…

Change

When you create or update an ad, you should see a “Creative Testing” section above “Campaign Details.”

As I mentioned above, you can test up to five creative variations on your initial launch. Many advertisers are now seeing that limit increase to 10.

When you launch a test, Meta will make copies of the current ads you’re working on, and you’ll need to edit those versions.

Should you use this feature?

For brands that have more creative resources but feel constrained by previous limitations, expanding to 10 ads may be useful.

But the fact that you can’t test existing ads remains my biggest complaint about creative testing. You have to start from scratch.

Overall, I still like the feature, and I think it’s a significant improvement over the traditional way most advertisers approach creative testing.

I also think it’s a smart idea to start working on new ad sets by testing them. It helps you understand how your ads perform when your budget is evenly divided. After the test is over, ads will run normally.
