Limit words and phrases from AI-generated text

Meta adds the ability to limit text words generated by AI in meta-advertising…

When you create a new ad, there is a brand section at the bottom of the identity.

This allows you to define how brands are reflected in the enhancements generated by AI. Examples include logos, fonts, colors, text tones, and visual styles.

There is now a new, “restricted word.”

Restricted words

Restricted words

The following is the definition of meta:

Specify whether there are certain words or phrases you don’t want to appear in AI-generated text options, we will exclude them from Advantage+ Creative Text Generation.

META’s AI-generated text suggestions are useful for generating more changes to help you find the right ad audience (because Targeting is now in ads in the Andromeda era). But you need that text to retain your voice.

An example of the word I added is “fluff”, which is usually a sign of text generated by AI. Another candidate will be “Unlock”. Of course there are others, but the main thing is to exclude words and phrases you see in the text options generated by Meta, you won’t use yourself.

Failures caused by AI

Even with text tone prompts, I found that Meta’s AI-generated text is not as good as it is. Although Meta says it learns from your previous ads, it doesn’t sound like me. While this might mean I need to do better to perfect the text tone settings, controls like limiting words can only help.

Do you use AI-generated text options?
